Making the most of discarded bread at the cafeteria

Summary of the action:
After noticing the large amount of discarded bread, we organised the collection of discarded bread for an equestrian centre. Other actions were carried out to reduce the consumption of bread.
The objectives :
- reducing bread consumption
- raise awareness of waste among high school students
- help an equestrian centre
Setting-up details :
Several actions have been set up:
- the bread tray was moved at the end of the line
- the bread is now by the slice
- posters were put up to raise awareness about bread waste
- a collection of discarded bread was organised and it was given to an equestrian centre
Practical tips :
Don't hesitate to go and see the canteen managers! They are often receptive to this type of action because they also seek to reduce waste, which is costly for the school.
