Categories: Biodiversity
Summary of the action:
We want to create a micro-forest of 250m² within Raymond Naves highschool in Toulouse. This latter would be beneficial for all students and the establishment’s staff by providing a little island of coolness and calm, by instauring a preserved zone of local biodiversity but also by uniting the students and citizens of the Croix-Daurade district.
(The project is underway)
The objectives:
Our goal is not only to create a green space in an urban area, but also to participate in the fight against global warming.
The educational objectives are: the engagement to a collaborative process of the project, the awareness to sustainable development, to increase the biodiversity, lower the heat, to have a scientific tracking of the zone, to attract pollinators, to unite the operators within the highschool and the neighbourhood, to improve the quality of life at school.
Details on the installation:
It will be composed of 600 tree plans of about thirty different local species.
Useful advice:
We need you because we have to finance 16% of our project with participative financing.
The rest, meaning 84%, is financed by the association of Toulouse en transition.
Your help is not only a financial aid but also a help to fight against global warming, to encourage young operators to engage and promote activities of awareness.
